About First Ourselves
At First Ourselves, we give women tools to heal a negative body image, overeating, and sugar addiction. We use self-care - love in action - to create emotionally, spiritually, and physically nourishing lives.
Creating a peaceful, nourishing relationship with our bodies and food removes a source of tremendous suffering for many women. As we remove this stumbling block, we are free and clear to offer our best selves to the world.
This act of courage transforms women, families, communities and society. Self-care is not selfish; rather, a spiritual act of service, serving the highest good of all.
To support women through this transformation, First Ourselves offers workshops and teleclasses on healing a negative body image and overcoming sugar addiction and emotional eating. We also offer support on firstourselves.com, free ebooks on overcoming sugar addiction and loving your body, and monthly newsletters on self-care, body image, and sugar addiction. Founder Karly Randolph Pitman also offers speeches and presentations for women's groups, conferences, corporations, organizations, and retreats.
Founded in 2006 by writer, speaker, and mother of four Karly Randolph Pitman, First Ourselves has welcomed over a million women from the U.S. and from over 180 countries. Karly's work has been featured on Yahoo, Yahoo Shine, Beliefnet, The Huffington Post, ABC and KGO, the largest talk radio station in the country, as well as on dozens of radio shows and podcasts.
